Alexandra Lepoura was born in Athens in January 1984. She studied Physiotherapy at TEI of Athens and continued her postgraduate studies at Brunel University, in London, UK, earning her MSc in Neurorehabilitation. She is now a PhD Student in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Uni.W.A. on the topic of Doctoral Thesis “Physiotherapy intervention in children with neuromotor delays and disorders”.
Since 2007 she has been working clinically with infants and children in need of physiotherapy intervention. In 2014, she and her husband created the pediatric therapy center in Marousi “Motive and Movement: Child’s Functional Therapy”, which they maintain until now.
Since 2011 he has been dealing academically in Physiotherapy training programs in private and public institutions with the main interest being the Clinical Neurological Rehabilitation of Pediatric Disorders.
She has attended numerous training seminars in Greece and abroad on the assessment and therapeutic management of mainly neurological pediatric cases while since 2018 she is the official and so far the only LiteGait instructor in Greece and Cyprus.
He has participated in scientific conferences and training seminars of neurological pediatric rehabilitation both with speeches and free announcements and in their relevant organization.
Her current research interests concern the cross cultural adaptation of assessment tools of ataxia in children, as well as the creation and implementation of therapeutic posture and gait training programs in children with neuromotor disorders using partial body weight support treadmill training.
